The history of soup goes back to the beginning of recorded time, for it has always served as a mainstay of man's diet.

There is nothing quite so good as a home-made soup, full of the freshest meat, poultry, fish and vegetables that the land and sea have to offer. Once you begin to make your own soups, enriched with nourishing stocks, you will be reluctant to return to the canned or packet variety.

FUN FACT: ~ In 1869, the company we now know as Campbell's Soup Company was formed. In 1897, they hired a young European trained chemist names John T. Dorrance for the sum of $7.50 a week. The very same year he created a condensed version of their popular soups by removing the water. This allowed the company to sell their soup for 10 cents instead of the 30 cents for the old 32-ounce can. The rest is history! It wasn't until 1922 that the company included the word "soup" in their name.
