Grits and Sausage Bake

Here is a recipe I think you will enjoy, it is a great make ahead dish when you have company or great to take to a brunch, coffee, etc.
INGREDIENTS
Paprika, optional
4 large eggs, beaten
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup milk
4 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1-1/4 cups grits, uncooked
4 cups water
2 pounds mild pork sausageBrown sausage, crumble, drain and set aside. Cook grits in water according to package. Stir cheese and next three ingredients into grits, until cheese is melted. Add eggs and sausage, stirring well. Place in a 9 x 13-inch greased pan. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
Makes 12 servings
NOTE - May make the day before and refrigerate; let stand at room temperature 30 minutes before baking. Leftovers are just as good reheated the next day.
