Avery Island Celery

INGREDIENTS 1/4 cup butter
1 medium onion
1 pound can tomatoes
1/2 teaspoon pepper sauce
1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme leaf
4 cups celery, cut diagonally
10-ounce package frozen peas, thawedMelt butter in a large skillet; add onion and cook until tender. Drain tomatoes, reserve solids. Add tomato liqud, pepper sauce, salt, sugar and thyme to skillet; bring to a boil. Stir in celery and cook 10 minutes or until barely tender. Add tomatoes; heat to serving temperature and turn onto serving dish.
