Black-Eyed Pea Cornbread

INGREDIENTS

1 cup cornmeal
1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup cooked black-eyed peas
2 jalapeno peppers, chopped
3/4 cup drained corn
1 pound browned hot sausage
1/2 pound grated Cheddar cheese

Mix in order given. Pour into a greased 9 x 9-inch baking pan and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
