Glazed Apple Rings

INGREDIENTS 2 pounds red cooking apples (6 apples)
1/4 cup lemon juiceGLAZE
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
1/2 cup waterWash apples; do not peel. Core; cut into slices about 3/4-inch thick.
In medium bowl, toss apple slices with lemon juice.
Make Glaze - In large skillet, combine butter, sugar, corn syrup and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring, until sugar melts.
Layer apple slices in skillet. Add any lemon juice remaining in bowl. Cook over medium heat, turning once, 5 to 7 minutes, or until glazed and tender but not mushy.
Serves 8
