Cranberry Apple Crisp

INGREDIENTS

3 cups peeled, coarsely chopped cooking apples
2 cups fresh cranberries
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1-1/2 cups regular oats, uncooked
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter, softened

Combine first 5 ingredients in a large mixing bowl; toss gently.

Place apple mixture in a greased 8-inch square baking dish.

Combine oats, brown sugar, and salt; stir well. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Sprinkle oat mixture over fruit mixture.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Serve warm.

Makes 6 to 8 servings
