Chocolate Pecan Pie 2

INGREDIENTS

3/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup light corn syrup
3 ounces baking chocolate, melted and cooled
3 tablespoons butter, melted
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup pecans, chopped
1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell

Combine the sugar, salt, corn syrup, cooled chocolate, melted butter, eggs and vanilla in a bowl. Beat until well blended, using an electric mixer set to medium speed.

Stir in the pecans and turn into the unbaked pie shell.

Bake in a 375 degree oven for 35 minutes or until set.  (Pie will be puffy when it comes out of the oven and will sink while cooling.)  Cool completely on a wire rack.

Makes one 9-inch pie
