Chocolate Lover's Ice Cream Pie

INGREDIENTS 2 cups crushed chocolate chip cookies
1/3 cup butter, melted
4 cups (1 quart) chocolate ice cream, slightly softened
Chocolate flavored syrup
Sweetened whipped cream
Chocolate chip cookies, broken into piecesIn medium bowl stir together crushed cookies and butter. Press into bottom and sides of 9-inch pie pan. Freeze until firm, about 10 minutes.
Spread ice cream over crust. Cover; freeze until firm (6 hours or overnight).
Just before serving, drizzle pie with chocolate syrup. If desired, garnish with sweetened whipped cream and pieces of chocolate chip cookies.
