Applesauce Pie

INGREDIENTS

28 crushed graham crackers
1/4 pound butter, softened
3 cups applesauce, fresh or canned
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, optional
1 cup heavy cream, whipped

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Blend graham crackers and the butter together. Reserve 1/3 of the mixture for topping.

Line a 9-inch pie plate with remaining 2/3 crumb mixture, pressing firmly against the sides of the plate.

Pour in the applesauce, combined with cinnamon, and cover with remaining crumbs. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 30 minutes. Cool. Serve with whipped cream.
