Shrimp New Orleans

INGREDIENTS 3 dozen fresh or frozen shrimp
1 medium-size onion, finely minced
1 clove garlic, finely minced
1/2 cup French Dressing
1/4 jar horseradish, about 1 ounce
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard, or to taste
Pinch of thymeBoil shrimp. Drain and let cool enough to handle. Shell and devein the shrimp. Let cool.
Make a marinade in which to soak the shrimp as follows: Mince onion and garlic as finely as possible. Add 1/2 cup of the French Dressing and about 1-ounce of the horseradish, the mustard, and a pinch of thyme. Beat together until well combined.
Place the shrimp in this mixture and cover them with the marinade by pouring the entire mixture, shrimp and all, from 1 bowl to another until completely blended. Place in the refrigerator overnight.
Arrange on an attractive dish and serve very cold with toothpicks.
