Cream Cheese Porcupine

INGREDIENTS

1/4 cup minced chives or spring onion tops
1/2 pound double cream cheese or 3 packages cream cheese
Sufficient cream to moisten to a smooth paste
Pretzel sticks

Mix 1/4 cup minced chives or spring onion tops with 1/2 pound double cream cheese or 3 packages cream cheese moistened to a thick paste with cream. Place in a small attractive serving bowl.

Stick a generous number of pretzel sticks into the cream cheese. Arrange them upright to create the impression of porcupine quills.

NOTE: The cream cheese is eaten by twirling a small mound at the end of each "porcupine quill." Do not permit the "quills" to stand too long in the cream cheese - they will soften.
