Marinated Herring

INGREDIENTS 1 cup sour cream
3 marinated herrings, in sour-cream sauce with sliced, raw onions
Slices of Russian rye bread

PaprikaPlace 1 cup sour cream in a mixing bowl. Into the cream, cut 3 marinated herrings in 2-inch pieces. Also add any cream sauce and any sliced raw onions that may have come with the herring when it was purchased.
Place a piece of herring on a buttered piece of Russian rye bread, and garnish each piece with a piece of the onion and a generous covering of the cream sauce. Sprinkle with paprika.
