INGREDIENTS

1 pint clear chicken broth
1/2 pint clam juice
1/2 cup light cream
Croutons
Paprika
Minced clams, optional
Whipped cream, optional

Blend the chicken broth with the clam juice. Heat and add 1/2 cup light cream.

If you wish to keep this soup simple, just put a few croutons on top of each cup and sprinkle lightly with paprika. However, if you wish, you may add 1 tablespoon minced clams to each cup and 1 tablespoon whipped cream on top instead of the croutons.

NOTE: The croutons here are tiny squares, about 1/4-inch thick, of white bread, fried lightly in a skillet with melted butter until well-browned on all sides.
