INGREDIENTS 2 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 large egg, well beaten
Milk
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoons butter, meltedSift together the dry ingredients. Add well-beaten egg, the melted butter, and enough milk to make a fairly moist, stiff batter.
Drop by spoonfuls into boiling liquid. Cover tightly, and cook for about 18 minutes.
