INGREDIENTS

One - 3 to 4 pound chicken, halved and flattened
6 tablespoons soy sauce
6 tablespoons honey
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
2 garlic cloves, crushed to a paste
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
1 teaspoon salt

Combine the soy sauce, honey, onion, garlic, ginger and salt in a large bowl. Add the chicken and marinate it for 2 hours.

Place the chicken in a hinged grill and cook it over coals. Turn and baste the chicken often, until it is well browned - approximately 25 minutes.
