Barbecued Eggplant

INGREDIENTS

2 medium-sized eggplants, peeled and cut crosswise into 1/2-inch slices
1/2 cup oil
1 teaspoon finely chopped garlic
1/2 teaspoon paprika
4 peppercorns, crushed
1/4 teaspoon oregano
Salt

Brush the eggplant slices with a marinade made of the oil, garlic, paprika, peppercorns, oregano and salt to taste. Marinate the eggplant for 7 minutes.

Broil the slices over a slow charcoal fire for 7 minutes on each side, or until they are well browned.
