Salsa Borracho For Enchiladas

INGREDIENTS 3 tablespoons butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
4 tablespoons chili powder
4 jalapenos, diced
2 cups tomatoes, diced
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1/2 cup beerIn a nonaluminum pan, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Add the garlic, chile powder, and jalapenos. Sauté until the chili powder begins to foam. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
Makes about 3 cups
