Sautéed Asparagus

INGREDIENTS

2 pounds fresh asparagus spears, rinsed and trimmed
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
Salt and pepper, to taste

Heat the olive oil and butter in a large sauté pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the asparagus and sauté to desired tenderness, about 5 to 6 minutes for tender-crisp.

Reduce the heat if needed to avoid over-browning. Sprinkle the asparagus with salt and pepper.
