Southern Fried Apples

INGREDIENTS

2 pounds tart apples
Sugar, to taste
3 tablespoons butter
Cinnamon, to taste

Wash, core, and slice apples in quarters. Do not peel. Place in a heavy skillet with the butter. Cover and cook over medium heat until soft, about 5 to 10 minutes.

Uncover, and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Cook until lightly browned on underside.
