French-Fried Sweet Potatoes

INGREDIENTS

3 medium-sized sweet potatoes
Vegetable oil
Salt or powdered sugar, optional

Cook sweet potatoes in boiling water 10 minutes; let cool to touch.

Peel sweet potatoes, and cut into finger-size strips or 1/4-inch slices.

Fry potatoes in hot oil (375 degrees) until golden brown; drain on paper towels.

Sprinkle with salt or powdered sugar, if desired.
