Italian Pork Chops with Pasta

INGREDIENTS 4 pork loin chops
1 red bell pepper, cut into strips
1 green bell pepper, cut into strips
2 medium onions, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 (28-ounce) can plum tomatoes
1 (14-ounce) can tomato sauce
Salt, to taste
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 teaspoons dried oregano
1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil2 cups Cavatappi pasta or spiral macaroni-style noodles, uncooked
Heat oil in a large saucepan and then brown chops on both sides and set aside. Add onions to the pan and sauté, adding the garlic and peppers and cooking for a few minutes until tender.
Add canned tomatoes, tomato sauce, and seasonings; bring to a boil. Add noodles, and return chops and any accumulated juices to the pan. Cover and simmer for 35 to 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
