Quick Creme Brulee with Canned Pears

INGREDIENTS

1 (28-ounce) can Bartlett pear halves
1 pint commercial sour cream, chilled
1/2 cup brown sugar, tightly packed

Place pears in a shallow 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Spread with sour cream and cover with brown sugar. Broil 3-inches from heat until sugar caramelizes. Serve hot.

Makes 8 servings

NOTE - Fresh, frozen or canned drained fruits may be substituted; for example, peach halves, pineapple chunks, or whole berries in sufficient quantity.
