Dumplings (Spaetzle Polonaise)

INGREDIENTS 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup water
1 egg, well beatenMix dry ingredients; stir in the water and the egg. Beat until a smooth batter is formed.
Drop by teaspoonfuls into boiling salted water (a moistened teaspoon will prevent sticking.) Cook for 15 minutes.
Test one by pulling it apart to make sure the dough is cooked through. Drain; serve hot, garnished with a Polonaise Sauce made by combining 1/4 cup cracker crumbs with 2 tablespoons of melted butter.
