Dilled Green Beans

INGREDIENTS 1 cup chopped onions
4 tablespoons shortening
3 pounds whole fresh green beans or 2 (10-ounce) packages frozen, thawed and cooked
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill or 1/2 teaspoon dill weed
Sauté onions in shortening until golden; add hot green beans, seasoning and dill. Toss lightly and serve.
