Poppy Seed Noodles

INGREDIENTS

1 tablespoon salt
1 package (7 or 8 ounces) wide noodles (3 cups)
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, melted
1 tablespoon poppy seed

In a large kettle, bring 3 quarts water and salt to a rapid boil. Add noodles.

Bring back to boiling. Cook, uncovered, stirring occasionally with long fork to prevent sticking, just until tender - 7 to 10 minutes. Do not overcook.

Drain in colander or sieve. Do not rinse. Toss noodles with melted butter and poppy seed. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
