INGREDIENTS
2 cups Bisquick
1 large egg, beaten
1/3 cup cream or undiluted evaporated milk
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup thick strawberry jamHeat oven to 400 degrees.
Mix Bisquick, egg, cream and sugar to make stiff dough.
Roll around on a board lightly dusted with Bisquick. Knead dough until smooth. Divide in half.
Pat each half to fit into an 8-inch layer pan. Fit one piece into greased pan, pressing about 1/4-inch up sides. Spread with jam.
Cover with the other circle. Mark with a sharp knife into 6 wedges; prick tops. Brush with cream or melted butter.
Bake for about 20 minutes. Serve warm.
