Green Beans with Browned Butter

INGREDIENTS 3/4 pound green beans, cut in half
2 tablespoons butter*
2 tablespoons pine nuts
1 teaspoon grated lemon peelPlace beans in 1-inch water in a 2-1/2-quart saucepan. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, 8 to 10 minutes or until crisp-tender; drain. Keep warm.
Meanwhile, melt butter in a 1-quart saucepan over low heat. Stir in pine nuts. Heat, stirring constantly, until butter is golden brown. Immediately remove from heat. Pour butter mixture over beans; toss to coat. Sprinkle with lemon peel.
Makes 6 servings
*NOTE - Do not use margarine because it doesn't brown or have the flavor of browned butter.
