Roll Kuchen

This is a fried dough usually served on Sunday afternoon for "Faspa", afternoon teatime.

INGREDIENTS

6 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 large eggs
1/2 cup cream
Enough milk to make a soft dough
Oil, for frying

Sift flour with dry ingredients. Add eggs and cream and enough milk to make a dough that is easy to roll.

Roll out fairly thin. Cut into strips about 2-inches wide.

Fry in deep, hot fat until golden on 1 side. Turn over and fry the other side.

Dust them with confectioners' sugar for a sweeter taste when they are finished frying and have cooled a bit.

NOTE -  The thinner they are rolled, the more crispy they are. If you prefer them more fluffy, roll them a little thicker.
