1 package (23.5 ounces) bakery-style blueberry-muffin mix
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 large egg
3/4 cup water
1 large pear, pared, cored and sliced lengthwise into 16 pieces
1 teaspoon grated lemon peelPreheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease 8-inch round pan; set aside. In large bowl, combine muffin mix with ginger (reserve berries). Add egg and water; stir until blended. Drain and rinse berries; fold into batter. Pour into prepared pan; arrange pear slices on top.
In small bowl, combine contents of muffin-mix-topping package with peel; sprinkle over pears. Bake 35 minutes. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan.
