INGREDIENTS

3 cups sugar
1/4 cup dark roast instant coffee crystals
2 cups water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 quart vodka

In medium saucepan, combine sugar and coffee with water. Bring to boiling. Cool; stir in vanilla. Pour into 2-quart container; stir in vodka. With spoon, skim off foam. Cover liqueur tightly; let stand 48 hours. Pour into decanters or bottles.

Makes 7-1/2 cups
