Streusel Coffee Cake

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup soft butter
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup sour cream

Cream butter and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.

Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with sour cream, beating until smooth. Spread batter into a greased jelly roll pan (10 x 15 x 1-inch) and sprinkle with crumbs.

CRUMB MIXTURE

2 cups powdered sugar
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 cup melted Crisco, or use vegetable oil

Mix ingredients with melted shortening slowly, stirring with fork until crumbs form.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes. When cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
