INGREDIENTS

1 cup soft butter
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2-1/4 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup chopped pecans

Mix together the butter, sugar, and vanilla. Stir in flour and salt to make a stiff dough. Mix in pecans. Chill dough.

Roll into 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased baking sheet..(cookies do not spread). Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until set, but not brown. While still warm, roll in confectioners' sugar. Cool. Roll in sugar again.
