INGREDIENTS 1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon flour
1/8 teaspoon white pepper
1 small can evaporated milk, 2/3 cup
2/3 cup water
1 envelope instant chicken broth OR 1 teaspoon granulated chicken bouillon
1 egg yolk
1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheeseMelt butter in a small saucepan; stir in flour and pepper. Cook, stirring constantly, until bubbly. Stir in evaporated milk, water, and chicken broth; continue cooking and stirring until mixture thickens and boils 1 minute.
Makes 1-1/3 cup
