Custard Noodle Pudding




This recipe is from "Top Nosh" and was submitted by Beverly Sackstein

INGREDIENTS

1 pound wide noodles
6 eggs
3/4 to 1 cup sugar, or to taste
2 tablespoons vanilla
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 quart milk
6 tablespoons margarine or butter, melted and cooled

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Use 9 x 13-inch pan.

Cook noodles 7 minutes. Rinse with cold water and set aside.

In large bowls beat eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt. Stir in milk, add noodles and mix well.

Spoon into baking pan and bake until tinged with brown, slightly over 1 hour. Serve warm.

Makes 24 to 30 servings
