Chocolate Fudge Cake

INGREDIENTS
CAKE
8 tablespoons butter
3 squares unsweetened chocolate
3 extra large eggs
1 (1-pound) box dark brown sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
2-1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup sour cream
1 cup boiling waterPreheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans. Line with waxed paper.
Melt butter with chocolate and allow to cool.
In large bowl beat eggs, sugar, cocoa and vanilla. Add chocolate. Add dry ingredients alternately with sour cream and water and blend well. Pour into prepared pans and immediately place in oven (any cake containing hot ingredients should be baked at once).
Bake 25 to 30 minutes. Do not overbake. Toothpick tester should be barely wet.
FILLING AND FROSTING
4 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
8 tablespoons butter
1 egg, optional
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 (1-pound) box confectioners' sugar
MilkBeat all ingredients together, adding just enough milk to make frosting. Use as filling between layers and on top and sides of cooled cake.
