America has been blessed with an abundance of riches, and among the most treasured is our rich culinary heritage. From the American Indians who first taught the colonists to grow and cook the native foods, through the waves of immigrants who brought with them their own unique cultures, to comtemporary cooks who create modern-day classics in step with today's life-styles, ours is a history of taste and diversity that spans generations.

This site is dedicated to my children - John, Chuck, Mandy, Robert, Michael and Leisa.... and to my beloved grandchildren....Nick, Tony, Chuckie, Mandy, Alicia, John, Chris, Robbie, Brittany, Albert, Charlotte, Donnie, Henry, Stevie, Hannah, Amber, Allison and Jenny. To my special niece Stephanie and my special friends Linda and Dee, who have encouraged me to create this site. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed putting it together.

One particular section is dedicated to Rosie, my mother-in-law who is no longer with us. She was loved by all and we miss her tremendously!...see....POLISH

On July 12, 2004 my son Robert, age 40, passed away from cancer. Needless to say, our family was devastated by his loss, and we miss him every day. He left behind his wife Theresa, and sons John and Chris, his brothers and sisters, many nieces and nephews who he loved and was devoted to.

Having cooked for so many years, I sometimes fail to remember that we all have to start with the basics! Techniques and terms that I use on a daily basis are foreign to the new cook and even those who have done basic cooking. So, this section is devoted to answering some of those questions you might have or are not sure of. Cooking With Lynne
