Candied Cranberries

INGREDIENTS 2 cups fresh or frozen whole cranberries, washed and drained
1-1/2 cups sugar plus more for sprinklingGenerously butter a baking dish; add cranberries. Sprinkle sugar over cranberries then cover dish tightly with foil.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, stirring once after 30 minutes. Let cranberries cool.
Lift out onto waxed paper and sprinkle with a little more granulated sugar. Let stand until dry and firm.
