Waffles

INGREDIENTS

2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, separated
2 cups milk
4 to 6 tablespoons butter, melted

Sift dry ingredients 2 times. Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry; set aside.

Beat egg yolks; add milk and whisk into the dry ingredients only to blend them. Add melted butter and then fold in beaten egg whites.

Bake in electric waffle iron.

Makes 6 servings
