New York Steak with Rum Butter

INGREDIENTS 1/4 cup rum
1 tablespoon shallots, chopped
4 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
2 teaspoons lime juice
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco pepper sauce
4 (10-ounce) New York steaksIn saucepan, combine rum and shallots, bring to a boil. Be very careful as rum could ignite! Reduce heat, simmer 2 minutes. Stir in butter, parsley, lime juice, and Tabasco. Brush steaks with rum butter.
Grill or broil steaks 6 inches from heat. Cook about 8 minutes, turning steak once. Brush with rum butter occasionally. Heat any remaining rum butter to boil and serve with steaks. Serve with additional Tabasco sauce, if desired.
