Red Velvet Cake Icing

INGREDIENTS

5 tablespoons flour
1 cup milk
1 cup sugar
1 cup butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla

Cook flour and milk until thick, stirring constantly. Cool. (This is very important).

Beat sugar and butter well with electric mixer. Add vanilla. Add to cooled flour and milk mixture. Beat until fluffy, like whipped cream. Set icing in refrigerator to chill before putting on cake.
