Angel Food Cake Icing

INGREDIENTS

1/3 cup cornstarch
1/3 cup sugar
2 cups milk
1 egg yolk
1 to 2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 pound butter
1 cup powdered sugar

Mix the cornstarch and sugar. Add milk and egg yolk. Cook until thick, stirring constantly. Add vanilla. Cool until COLD.

Cream the butter and powdered sugar. Add cold custard. Beat 20 minutes.
