Seven-Minute Frosting 2

INGREDIENTS

2 egg whites
1-1/2 cups sugar
5 tablespoons cold water
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Combine egg whites with sugar, water and cream of tartar in the top of a double boiler over boiling water (do not let bottom of top pan touch water.) Beat constantly 7 minutes until frosting is thick and fluffy. Remove icing from heat and add vanilla. Continue beating until frosting is of proper spreading consistency.
