Fish Ball Soup

1/4 cup onions, chopped
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 large egg
6 cups chicken stock
4 green onions, chopped, green parts only
1 large egg, beaten
1 tablespoon fish sauce
1 pound cod*, cooked and flaked
Combine cooked and flaked fish with chopped onion, salt, pepper, and 1 egg. Form into balls. Roll the balls in a small amount of cornstarch.
Bring stock to a boil. Drop in fish balls. Season with fish sauce and some pepper. Just before serving, mix in beaten egg and sliced green onions. Serve hot.
Makes 6 servings
*NOTE - You can use any white-fleshed fish.
