Turkish Lamb Kabob

INGREDIENTS 1 cup olive oil
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon parsley
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon rosemary
16 (1-inch) cubes of lamb, cut from the leg
3 green peppers, cut into 1-inch squares
8 small boiling onions
8 mushrooms
1 zucchini, cut into 1-inch slices
8 cherry tomatoesMix together the olive oil, lemon juice, chopped onion, garlic and herbs. Marinate the lamb cubes for at least 6 hours.
On 12-inch skewers, alternate pieces of lamb with the vegetables. Broil the lamb skewers for 15 minutes, longer if you want your lamb well done. Serve immediately.
NOTE - In the Muslim religion it is forbidden to drink liquor. In Iraq, you would drink buttermilk with the kabobs, not wine.
