Butterscotch Sauce 2

Treat the family or guests to a sundae with homemade Butterscotch Sauce. This sauce will keep for several weeks in the refrigerator.

INGREDIENTS

1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup half-and-half
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons light corn syrup

Heat the sugar, half-and-half, butter, and corn syrup to boiling in a heavy 1-quart saucepan over moderate heat, stirring occasionally.

Serve warm over ice cream, cake, or frozen desserts.

Makes 1 cup
