Apple Pudding

INGREDIENTS 6 cups apples, peeled and sliced
1/2 cup water
2 teaspoons lemon juice
3/4 cup sifted flour
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup butterPlace peeled and sliced apples in a buttered 9-inch baking pan or 2-quart casserole dish. Pour water and lemon juice over apples.
Sift flour, sguar and cinnamon into a bowl. Cut in butter with a pastry blender or 2 knives, until mixture resembles coarse meal. Sprinkle flour mixture over apples.
Bake at 375 degrees for about 40 to 50 minutes. Serve warm or cold with cream or ice cream.
