Ginger Sparklers

This makes soft yummy cookies, that are mildly spiced!

INGREDIENTS

3/4 cup butter or margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup light molasses (not blackstrap)
1 egg
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon Sugar

Cream together butter, brown sugar and molasses. Beat in egg until light and fluffy.

Measure dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Stir into creamed mixture until well mixed.

Shape into 1-inch balls. Dip in sugar; place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes.

Makes 3 dozen cookies
