Coco-Oat Cookies

A bake sale favorite!...Make them extra-large.

INGREDIENTS

1 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1-1/2 cups packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups rolled oats
1 cup coconut
12-ounces semisweet chocolate chips

Cream the butter and sugars in a large bowl. Add the eggs, mixing well. Stir in the flour, baking soda, salt and vanilla; mix well. Fold in the oats, coconut and chocolate chips. Chill dough for 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake 15 minutes. (Grease the sheet for each new batch of cookies). Cool on a wire rack.

Makes about 5 dozen
