Chocolate Pecan-Pie Bars

1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup butter
1 cup finely chopped pecans
1/4 cup butter
1 square, 1-ounce, semisweet chocolate
3 beaten eggs
1-1/4 cups packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons bourbon or water
1 teaspoon vanillaFOR CRUST - Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon. Cut in the 1/2 cup butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in pecans. Press crust mixture into the bottom of an ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a small heavy saucepan combine the 1/4 cup butter and chocolate. Heat and stir over low heat until chocolate melts. Combine eggs, brown sugar, bourbon, vanilla, and melted chocolate mixture. Stir until combined. Pour over crust. Return to oven.
Bake 20 minutes more or until set. Cool. Cut into bars.
