~~ THESE COOKIES TAKE TWO DAYS TO MAKE !! ~~ INGREDIENTS
STEP ONE
2 pounds light brown sugar
1 pound dark brown sugar
1/4 pound shortening
1/4 pound butter
2 cups water
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 cups pecans
2 teaspoons lemon flavoringSTEP TWO
2-3/4 pounds flour
2 teaspoons baking powderBring Step One ingredients to boil; do not cook. Then set aside until cold.
When cold add Step Two ingredients. Let stand overnight.
In the morning roll out on floured board to 1/8-inch thick and cut out with round cookie cutter.
Bake at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes.
